2. Live Again
3. Sasha Blue Monday

"All songs Copyright 2008. All rights reserved"

The Tom McElman Band is an eclectic blend of Rock, Blues, and Funk. The nucleus of the band/project is Tom McElman on Vocals and Guitars (sometimes bass, sometimes keyboards) and Sean Moore on Drums. Tom and Sean write the songs and additional players, if needed, are added during the recording process.

Tom, originally from Boston, has a long history playing in hard rock bands such as Vernia Caliper and Strombringer but grew up listening to Blues. It was his father that first exposed him to Fats Domino, from there, Muddy Waters, Elmore James, Sonny Boy Williamson but when he heard Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple for the first time, the music took on more of an edge.

Sean, actually born in the Boston area, grew up in Cincinnati and has been in Rock and Blues bands for most of his life. The two got together back in 1997 and has been writing music and producing and recording bands ever since.

Tom was recently diagnosed with Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD). It is a genetic disease that usually goes undetected in men and women until they're in their late 30s. There is no cure and it is currently untreatable. However, as with all diseases, there's always hope. You can help by going to http://www.pkdcure.com/ and learning more about the disease. If you can make a monetary donation or donate your time, it would be more than appreciated!

This is great music from a great band! These are friends of mine who were the house band at Bill Ash's Lounge in Revere, MA for a number of years.

They are the perfect pop/rock band. I have seen them live more times than I can count and they always put on a great show!

Dana West was also my guitar teacher for a while. I wish I had the time to have kept it going....

I just found out that they are doing a SASS reunion in January. http://www.sassrock.com/sass_news.htm

Also, check out Gary's band Take That appearing at Bill Ash's Lounge.

This tape was given to me by a close friend years ago. He had decided to tape the band because we were going to The Atlantic Lounge every weekend and we enjoyed the band so much. We had already bought the demo tape they were selling but he wanted to have more of their music. He taped it and had made a copy for me. I've had it for years and I found it recently.

Yes, that is "Straight Up" by Paula Abdul and it is a kick ass version of the song....They also do a fantastic version of "Walkin' The Dog", "The Real Me" and "Stay With Me".

Their original songs are amazing!!! All I can say is I wish these guys had gotten signed.

Warren Hosker - Vocals (He was with Jet Screamer)

This tape was my first introduction to the local scene. I had bought this from a friend for $2.00 back in 81. I have been listening to it ever since....

About 10 years ago at a previous job, someone at work had transferred a couple of tapes to CD for me. This one and The Tears demo which I will post later.

The only thing I know about this is that the singer is from either Jet Screamer or Scorcher (I can't remember which) and that it kicks ass!

I mentioned that I had this tape to a couple of friends and it surprised them. They remembered Gary and I guess it brought back a lot of memories to them. The CD was dedicated to Gary Howland, he was killed in a car accident. They told me who played on it but I can't recall. If someone knows, please let me know.

Take the time and listen to this. It's great music. Enjoy!!!
